Across the skies, darkness, the clouds weaved,
Busy like a bee a loom done its craft, unseen,
Each thread a whisper spun from dusk’s retreat,
Into which, as folds of shadowed silk, light dissolved.
Though dark, a velvet across the sky the loom stitched,
A hammock for stars to gently lie and sleep in peace,
When darkness in softness sang lullabies for stars to sleep,
Silence they seek and whispers of western winds I hear.
And to those whispers, my mind gently spoke,
About desires I chase who all left me unattainable,
And they echoed every syllable about the freedom of flight,
Oh’, darkness shown more than artificial lights ever could show.
And in every bit of those desires I saw I searched to see,
My hearing from the depths of space can hear,
The snores of the sleeping stars and lullabies of darkness,
Oh’, why not I see in my desires the beauty I want to surrender.
And the winds swirled around and took a tune from darkness,
And sang to me a song through my five senses I felt,
The meaning in the wonderfulness of life into my soul spread,
That said, she is not a desire of your mind or this material world.
She is now part of your soul; no creation of God can break apart.
