The Lucky Man.

The horizons upon your eyes reflected,
And from it grown a pleasant feeling,
Deep in my heart that told me how you felt,
Then to all the lovers in the world I told,

“Look at me not Oh’ lovers look at your lovers eyes,
For in through those eyes you will see,
The fulfillment of a lifetime of desires,
Filled with love none else will feel and understand.

Gather every breath of yours,
And into your soul blow the air,
Filled with the scent of her love,
For the world to see that love evolved as your love.”

To the horizons I once more looked,
And saw stars waking up from all corners,
Oh’ then a smile spread through every luck of mine,
Once more telling how wonderful to be the love of yours.

The Loving Gardener.

Another updated poem. The relevance of this poem with current events are given after the poem.

The Loving Gardener.

The shining sun upon all creations of God, smiled,
Silence way upon the hill took her sleep,
As morning through the valley spread, unopposed.

When weeds with their flowers in pride stood,
And later with the naughty wind danced,
And gave a handful of pollen to spread far,
Oh life once again screamed, in every corner of nature.

Gardens of all kinds people built,
As old and new houses alike brightened,
In the middle of them in new colors of all kinds,
Giving thought, how wonderful hearts of those owners are.

Steps always slowed around the Garden Street,
As to see at least one owner mind always wished,
Never ever anyone seen in those gardens with flowers filled,
Still the smiles of flowers, made mind to dance with them.

On that day, as usual eyes made legs so slow,
And then I saw her pruning a rose plant in the evening light,
Every flower in shyness waited to be touched by her,
As far more beauty on her face one can see.

Can’t stop as the world and her may only think all wrong,
Still heart stopped for a moment or two,
Then to me with a smile she looked,
As if reading every thought in this poetic mind.

Every beautiful feeling every sense in mind ever came,
Merged all and gave the ink to write these lines in mind,
And looking into her eyes in my mind I said,
“In your eyes a hundred lines of verses sleep,
Lucky I will be if at least one line of verse I can wake
With the blessing from those smiles I can steal,
And let the world knowing that soul will always live in love”.

Then I knew she indeed read my mind,
As in giggles she ran back to her home holding,
A bunch of lucky flowers that felt her touch,
Giving one more glance and that pretty smile,
When closing the material door,
Leaving spiritual ones open.

First of all my sincere apologies for not doing shows for couple of days as I promised and in one of the live shows I said I am going to release a brand new poem. I was not able to finish the poem.

Back to this poem. When I first wrote this poem I didn’t have any specific person in mind. I was in Overland Park, Kansas. USA. The whole thought got triggered when I saw people preparing for the arrival of spring. Sowing seeds and planting perennials. The relevance came years later…

In 2014 I was working part-time at Boston Store. I was in charge of the Young Men’s area and I saw a movement among the ‘Levi’s” jeans racks and I went there to check. I saw a girl there who happens to be from the corporate. I introduced myself to her and we talked a bit and she left. Well, she left an impression in my mind. Life took me out of the store and I was going through some turbulent times. I fought with a manager and walked out of that job. Still I walked around the mall and store almost everyday. After more than 2 years one day while I was walking in the store and one of the Senior Associates was coming with another manager and she told “Go and put on your badge and get back in here, We need you” the manager agreed. At that time I was in 15 different minds to join or not as I have another job to do during day time. Then right between them I saw the corporate girl walking towards us. I said “Yes, I will come back”. When I was walking out of that store I was trying hard to remember these four lines

“In your eyes a hundred lines of verses sleep,
Lucky I will be if at least one line of verse I can wake
With the blessing from those smiles I can steal,
And let the world knowing that soul will always live in love”.

Well nothing much happened after that though, as romance always don’t happen to people who feel connected. And I ended up having zero ideas how to talk to someone who is not really interested in talking to me beyond “Hello, how are you”. But for a poet yeah those small encounters is all matters to write and be inspired.

The Failed Distractions.

An Updated Poem. Read the original intro…

“This poem was written in March-April 2008. It was first posted in my blog on April 03-2008. In 2005 I met someone and felt an emotional connection to that girl. As the situation was way “inappropriate” I tried writing poetry to self mind control exercises to distract myself away from her. This poem was written at that time and the end result? mmm read the whole poem to understand what happened.”

Well that version of the poem was posted September 13, 2011. Time is not just a healer, it is a fantastic teacher too. So MoCuishle and me went sideways after nearly a year after posting this poem again on the blog. Like I always told that young lady, life goes through cycles, events comes back with new people and it did. So “practice of nearly four decades ”now is “nearly five decades”. I tried once more to distract and end up saying “Oh’ what a failure I am” ….

Enjoy…

The Failed Distractions

Listening to the brittle drops,
Shattering up on the blades of grass,
The T.V speaks its own language,
Imaginations in the depth of those events lost,
Though fictitious, mind filled in those fascinations.

Life comes not in the cheapest ways,
Always takes its toll in account of time,
And none could do anything about other than say,
“damn it” and go back to listening.

Oh’ how wonderful it is to see and hear,
The nesting birds even in the spring who lost,
The warmth somewhere in the embraces of winter,
The old man who is still kissing the beauty,
Of the young and colorful spring.

Those little chirping birds show,
How to find ways through the given time,
Even when the paths are not fitting,
For barefooted ballet dancing.

Nothing ever brings to mind boredom,
As whatever happens is the moments truth,
Which is what is given for the moment,
Through the times and paths of life learned,
To take what’s given and never to wish,
For what’s not given or earned.

Easy it is not to be patient,
But with practice of nearly five decades,
Learned to cope with sadness that engulf mind.
Sadness, just another emotion like happiness,
Comes and goes at will in a passion filled mind.

In these days from all that have gone by,
Learned not to say “I don’t know”
If said, will be the worst crime,
Against the consciousness of oneself.

The days carry on through cycles,
That moves fast through time these days,
Still some wishes and dreams fight inside, undying,
The metaphors and similes lay slaughtered,
As reality that dies not and heals not,
In time or with any knowledge and experience earned,
The truth remains as is, O dear, it remains,
That none of the distractions tried worked,
As I love you more than you and I can imagine.

To The Only One I Can Ever Love.

There are times when all one can do is sit in a corner and let life unfold. As for me I write and write and write again. The following poem was brought back because this poem makes one better than any action I can do, anything I can write and everything I can speak.

To The Only One I Can Ever Love.

The winding roads to a higher place took,
The air grew thinner and thinner the higher I went,
As sorrow deepened with every moment of your silence,
My own conscience I betrayed,
As my hopes in hunger for love died,
Only sadness along with me came,
And thoughts about you first as a hunting,
Then as a pleasure, Then as an addiction,
Then a necessity to survive,
The air thinner and thinner grew,
And there were no more heights for me to climb.

Beneath my foot I felt,
The touch of the might of the mountain,
The flirting winds way below in jealousy howled,
The thundering clouds in defeat beneath me rained.
“Love is not a necessity for life”, aloud I said,
Oh’ stronger will become love when unattained,
When parted stronger will feel,
The pain of the living,
The blessing of the dead,
Oh’ you may be at a height unattainable,
Or at a depth unknown,
Ah’ even when skies beneath my foot I crush,
Somewhere in the horizons echoed,
Your words of love for me in your soul whispered.

Oh’ the soul of mine with hopes and wishes filled,
Even when the world around us in chaos drowned,
Temptations of good and evil all around us flown,
And to some we fell pray and failed,
To understand that life is not a beast one can tame,
In acts of brutality or romance of hearts,
Life is not a meal in sweetness one can eat or in sourness spit,
Life is not a journey where one fly, walk, swim or crawl,
Life of an individual is a flaw, In the perfect flow of time,
But even in our failures and success,
Anger, disappointments and sadness we learned,
How beautiful that God given flaw in meaningful ways define,
The love and respect of each other we have,
Which made a million flowers bloom as smiles,
On faces of those who read this and understand,
No matter what material heights you and I can climb,
No matter what disappointments, anger and sadness you can give,
You are the only one my darling, I can ever love.

My Writing Den

There is some delay in this video as my camera is dying… however you can still see how I work in my den…

***************************************************************************************

Here is a Live Video from my writing Den. It is just not writing I do from here. Daytime I work from home too. So at times you may see me just talking, yes I talk on the phone a lot and you may think I am speaking to thin air. I do that too as part of the writing process. In a nutshell, what you see is what you get. There is no audio. You only get to watch me not hear me.

Enjoy.

Welcome To The Wonderful World Of A Poet

Waves

A New Poem.

Some people are very good at romance. Some people are really pathetic at romancing. The problem with extremes of both is .. it is very boring. Now this problem can come from many aspects.. Sometime even the best of the best can crumble in front of a potential partner(Male or female) because of circumstances. One example, I met this girl a while back and the very first time I saw her I felt attracted to her. The issue is the elusiveness of life took her away. Now I see her everyday still there is that elusive part where I cannot talk to her, she is not free, when she is free I am not free. Every bit of reasons comes and takes us away from each other. This is in many ways interesting and challenging. But there are times it becomes utterly boring. Earlier today when the temperatures with windchill felt like about -9F I took a walk to see her and talk to her. Hmmm nope, missed her totally. I came home and tried many distractions (Good, bad and dirty) naaa nothing working… then I opened this poem.. The first stanza was written a while back and I finished it.. Though a bit lame, Opposite thinking worked.

Waves.

Walk through the beach hand in hand
Fill the air with scent of romance
Ah’ promises to own conscience unkept
As the waves erased our footprints
And summer winds fell to the autumn cold
A dream I weaved within the waves that came
And my message of love will walk over the waves
And will bring a smile of warmth upon your face
When your own heart will whisper my verse of love
Into the depths of your soul from where sprouted,
Unknown meanings of a new romantic feeling.

Oh’ between the written unknowns I searched,
But the romance from you soul sprouted,
Carried the love of days gone,
The magic in your eyes seen
And galloping of tomorrow’s waves.
And deeper and deeper into my soul pierced,
The inevitable defeat of every defence of mine,
I loved not as good as you did and now in your soul I am lost.

In the beautiful feelings of a timeless romance I fell asleep,
Where I saw no dreams, my breaths woke me to a realization,
Ah’ every dream I ever weaved, carried,
A bit of my love only meant for a soul where I am lost,
The soul through the eyes of yours I see,
Ah’ an ocean filled with waves that came and took,
Bit by bit the sand shore where I defined my love for you.

I’ve Seen That Movie Too

Just came up with these words after listening this song.

The morning shook off the nightly sweat and ran around to spread the light… The universe is a fantastic phenomenon we will never understand, Yet through love we share our desires and find solace, And mask the souls with layers and layers of lies….Ah’ this day achievement means… yet another lie…

I’ve Seen That Movie Too

Music: Elton John
Lyrics: Bernie Taupin

I can see by your eyes you must be lying
When you think I don’t have a clue
Baby you’re crazy
If you think that you can fool me
Because I’ve seen that movie too

The one where the players are acting surprised
Saying love’s just a four letter word
Between forcing smiles, with the knives in their eyes
Well their actions become so absurd

chorus:

So keep your auditions for somebody
Who hasn’t got so much to lose
‘Cause you can tell by the lines I’m reciting
That I’ve seen that movie too

(repeat chorus)

It’s a habit I have, I don’t get pushed around
Stop twinkling your star like you do
I’m not the blue print for all of your B films
Because I’ve seen that movie too

The one where the players are acting surprised
Saying love’s just a four letter word
Between forcing smiles, with the knives in their eyes
Oh their actions become so absurd
